I'm still shivering away here in Wisconsin, but that doesn't mean I can't paint my nails ;) I'm back with another wintery, fun, EASY design!!! It's called the waterfall technique, and takes just a few minutes and 3-5 polish colors. Check it out! Products will be listed below, along with a written tutorial.
Up close! Pretty, right? |
To achieve this design I used five polishes: a light nude-pink for the base and a light, medium, and dark purple and a gold glitter. First, I painted two coats of the base color and let it dry. To create the "waterfall" I dipped a small striper brush* into polish and just wiping it down my nail, lifting it towards the ends to taper the lines. I started with the light purple first and progressed, leaving the glitter for last. Then I popped on a topcoat and wa-la!
*Striper brush can be found in sets or alone on ebay!
